It's the last newsletter of the year - it's been a FANTASTIC year for us at Twiice, truly the best yet. There has been a lot of hard work, sweat and tears but it has proven to be worth every second.
Of course, for this we must thank you - our clients, for staying supportive and ensuring we end 2008 on such a fabulous note. I wish you all the best for the holiday season, and look forward to 2009, where refreshed we will be ready to attack the year ahead.

Kartell Classics |

In November the Kartell museum premiered a series of temporary exhibitions called, "Kartell Classics. I Classici Kartell in mostra al Museo."
This series of exhibitions aimes to exploit and tell the process behind the creation of the most significant objects made by Kartell in its history, exploring their peculiarities, from the first idea to the production.
Every 3 months a new Kartell iconic product will be examined: the object will be illustrated and showcased in all its aspects, from the very project to the communication, through a series of precious materials part of the Museum's collection, as prototypes, drawings, photographies and videos. The first exhibtion on display until February 2009 is dedicated to the family of Maui chairs by Vico Magistretti, best seller since 1996.On display are the drawings, models, prototypes, moulds an images which made Maui the icon of Kartell design.
Maui is one of the best-selling products in the world. It is the fruit of collaboration between Vico Magistretti and Kartell and bears all the marks of a successful object: the Master's unique approach to the design and use of innovative materials and new technologies, plus new functionalities and aesthetic qualities expressed through an extremely rich range of variations on the product. Maui is a chair, a two-seater sofa and a table, for the home, communal spaces and the home office.

New Vitra System: WorKit |

WorKit, the new office system by Arik Levy, is a simple, rational and flexible solution for communicative office areas. The PIN, the central connecting element of WorKit, opens up to a large number of possibilities with a small number of parts. The screens for the middle of the desk can guide communication channels and the side screens serve to partition off large areas.
The core element of WorKit is its root-shaped connecting piece that serves to attach, connect or define legs, cross-bars, tabletops and PC holders.

New Vitra System: ArchiMeda |

ArchiMeda, the new height adjustable desk by Alberto Meda, brings that healthy alternation between sitting and standing into the executive office: the height of the table top (made of oak veneer or MDF) can be adjusted electrically using the scissor lifting mechanism.
ArchiMeda is also suitable as a conference table - for meetings conducted seated as well as for discussing documents and plans while standing around them.

Interior Designer: Sevil Peach |

Sevil Peach was born in Turkey in 1949. She studied Interior Design at the University of Brighton and following her position as Design Director of the Interiors Group of YRM, Sevil Peach together with partner Gary Turnbull formed their own design and architectural studio, Sevil Peach Gence Associates.
SPGA's experience includes Retail, Healthcare, Exhibition and Residentail projects. The groundbreaking interiors for Barclay Property Holding's office in Birmingham and Vitra's offices in Weil am Rhein, which won the office of the year award in 2000, has led to their involvement in a great number of internationally recognised projects for clients such as Sony, Mexx and Novartis and Microsofts headquarters in Amsterdam.

Cape Town Summer Party |

It has been a year of hard work and the festive summer season is here, and so we felt - does one need a better reason to party?
With new products from Kartell and Moroso adorning the showroom we danced to music by DJ Rene, ate the food by Caveau restaurant and slurped quite merrily on the cocktails by Thirst all toasting to what has been a notable year, 2008!
